Our Community Centre is conveniently situated to the right upon entering the Spring Valley community. Adjacent to the center, there is a spacious green area, which serves multiple purposes. It primarily functions as a parking area during community meetings and transforms into a vibrant playground for residents and children within the community. The responsibility for maintaining the community center and its surrounding grounds falls under the purview of the Spring Valley Citizens and Neighborhood Watch Association. This association, which was established over a decade ago, operates with a structured committee, including elected positions such as president, and administrator. Regular quarterly meetings are held, with occasional extraordinary meetings convened as needed. The community center is a hub of activity, hosting a variety of events and gatherings. Notably, the well-attended Friday night frolic takes place on the last Friday of every month, drawing the community together for an evening of fun and camaraderie. Additionally, the community is honored to welcome Robert Montague, Member of Parliament for West St. Mary representing the JLP (Jamaica Labour Party), who frequently utilizes the community centre for his meetings, reinforcing the center's importance as a vital gathering place for the community.
